The theft of milk crates costs the dairy industry more that $80 million a year, which drives up the cost of a container of milk and increases green house gas emissions. The most effective way to reduce theft is to work with others in your community. Consider reaching out to others involved in earth friendly activities and ask their help to educate people on how important it is to allow plastic milk crates to do their job. Build a coalition of other business that use plastic crates to deliver product and meet with municipal recyclers and law enforcement to shut down illegal regrinding operations.

This section contains materials you can use in your community to reduce plastic milk crate theft.
